Are you 14-25 years of age? Then you can do it!

The Award concept is based on personal challenge and not a competition against others. Your program is tailor-made to reflect your own abilities, interests and personal preferences.

The nature of the Award offers you a wide range of choices making it a Programme that is truly available to anyone for 14 –25!

Example of qualifying activities (this list in not exhaustive there are literally hundreds of other options available):

Physical Recreation: hockey, skating, skiing, rowing, soccer, aerobics, jogging, basketball, snowboarding, swimming etc.

Service: student council, year book committee, grad committee, volunteering for a charity or organization (SPCA, Canadian Cancer Society, Red Cross), leading a youth group, peer-tutoring, coaching, refereeing, score keeping etc.

Skill: playing a musical instrument, singing, acting, drawing, painting, photography, computers (web-page design, word processing), cooking, marksmanship, scrap booking, public speaking, leadership etc.

Whether applying for a place at college, university or future employment, completion of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, at any level, clearly identifies you as an individual with a well-rounded range of interests, who actively participates in your community and is able to sustain a commitment.
